Puiforcat is a family-owned cutlery factory founded in Paris in 1820 by Jean-Baptiste Fuchs and his two cousins. It became famous thanks to the skilful work of craftsmen with different metal especially with silver.
Some of the Puiforcat silverware and cutlery take part of the property of the royal courts and private collections. Every year Puiforcat produces not only classic masterpieces, but also small modern collections created in collaboration with young and famous designers.
Puiforcat silverware collection is full of various décor items, dinnerware and over 100 lines of luxury silver cutlery. All items are handcrafted in sterling silver, are silver-plated or made in stainless steel.
The Puiforcat brand has undergone several changes over the years, including the owners of the Maison. And the big change came when it merged with the Hermès Group in 1993. After this big step the workshop moved to Pantin, which is one of the northern suburbs of Paris.
All Puiforcat artworks are crafted by talented skilled craftsmen with exceptional skills and aptitudes. To give the products the correct shape and beauty, the craftsmen use highly professional metalworking methods.
The Puiforcat Silverware Phi Collection is one of the new collections presented by this exclusive brand and is named after the letter Phi of the Greek alphabet. This Puiforcat Silverware Collection represents a perfect mixture of modern style and functionality with its balanced proportions and perfect lines. The Phi consists of various tools for drinking infusions, coffee and tea.
Puiforcat Silverware Collection Phi was created by Normal Studio, a famous Paris-based design studio founded by two renowned and extremely talented designers Jean François Dingjian and Eloi Chafaï. The collaboration with the brand brought to life an incredibly elegant, simple and timeless silverware collection with elementary design.

Puiforcat Silverware Granville is a brand new collection entirely dedicated to various types of spices. Puiforcat tried to combine a preparation process with the tasting ceremony, bringing the kitchen closer to the table. Together with the “Couteaux d’orfevre”, Granville tries to introduce the immense world of cuisine exploration getting a closer acquaintance with spices of all types.
The Puiforcat Silverware Granville takes its name after a homonymous city located in France and often nicknamed as the “Monaco of the North”. The Granville Collection was first released in 2019 with the launch of salt and pepper mills together with a spice box. At the end of 2020, the collection was updated with the addition of the Nutmeg mill and an Oil dispenser.
Grégoire de Lafforest a well-known French artist designed this outstanding collection special for Puiforcat. The overall structure of each item helps to better understand what kind of condiment is inside of it, from pepper or salt to other kind of spices.
The Puiforcat Silverware Houlgate is the most fashionable collection with unique and luxurious design. Handcrafted by the talented artisans of the famous brand in sterling silver, their graceful outline with mirror-polished surface conveys a majestic and opulent atmosphere.
“Sommelier” from Puiforcat is a collection that is totally dedicated to wine tasting. The line comprises of three different sampling glasses for wine and Champagne, as well as a completely silverplated water tumbler. The special highlight: All of the conically shaped glasses rest on a silverplated foot and can be raised separately.
Puiforcat is known for reinventing dinner utensils again and again. With “Sommelier”, the French silversmith is now also celebrating the art of wine tasting in a very special way. World-famous sommelier Enrico Bernard and designer Michael Anastassiades worked on this collection with Puiforcat for three years. The result: a remarkable symbiosis between perfect oenology and unique design.
Enrico Bernardo is one of the best sommeliers in the world. In his top Parisian restaurant Il Vino, he shows how the menu is chosen to go with the wine and not vice-versa. Designer Michael Anastassiades’ minimalistic creations have, for example, earned a place in the collections of New York’s MoMa and the Victoria & Albert museum.
The House of Puiforcat joined forces with Bruno Paillard, renowned winemaker and oenologist from the Champagne region, to design the Champagne collection: a beaker to extol the aromas of the nectar, a bucket to keep the champagne cool and a line of accessories to heighten the tasting experience.
Quite simply the perfect vessel for drinking champagne. The fine silver keeps the champagne cold and is pleasing on the lips, while the footed design prevents condensation from dampening your table. When filled, the details of the beaker’s delicately engraved interior come to life, and the brilliance of the silver mingles with the color of the champagne to create a warm, golden hue within.
The Jacaranda line, a set of bar accessories and decorative pieces, stands out for its atypical finishings: the pieces are hammered by the craftsmen in the Puiforcat workshop to create a rough yet delicate surface that plays with the light. And for an even more sophisticated look, the champagne buckets, round trays and candle holders, fashioned in silver-plated metal, feature elegant rosewood bases.
