Jaime Hayon had a long and vibrant career for such a young man. Born in 1974 in Madrid, as a teenager, he became interested in skateboarding and street graffiti, which were an integral part of youth culture. After studying industrial design in Madrid and Paris, Jaime Hayon joined the Benetton sponsored Academy of Arts. Within the framework of art projects, the aspiring designer worked with famous designers of modern European art. In a short time, Jaime Hayon became from a simple student to the head of the design department. He took on any job, developing the design of restaurants, shops, galleries and performing advertising orders.

Jaime Hayon’s First Collection of Artworks

The “Mediterranean Digital Baroque” was the first outstanding collection of Jaime Hayon that was presented to the public at the David Gill Gallery in London. It consisted in spectacular ceramic installations with bizarre forms. After this success, there was “My Circus” another Jaime Hayon’s exposition that visited a lot of  European cities like Frankfurt, Barcelona and Paris.

Baccarat Zoo Sculptures by Jaime Hayon

Bear, monkey and elephant are joyful crystal creatures that take part of the Zoo Collection created by Jaime Hayon special for Baccarat.

The artist was inspired by Artoyz that helped him to design these stunning little crystal figurines.

Each animal has a porcelain white base and the crystal upper half that is embellished with glamourous golden details.

The Zoo Sculptures have individual number and the signature of Jaime Hayon on the bottom side of the porcelain base.

Baccarat Zoo Sculptures: New 2021 Edition by Jaime Hayon

The Baccarat Zoo Crystal figurine collection was expanded this year with other two astonishing animal sculptures.
