Sculptural Crystal Lamp with a Soft Grey Finish

The Saint Louis Apollo Grey Table Lamp reinterprets the Maison’s famous Apollo glass as a contemporary lighting piece. Created by Godefroy de Virieu and Stefania di Petrillo in 2011, the design takes the shape of an Apollo glass, turns it upside down and transforms it into a luminous bell. A polished chrome-plated steel ring completes the design.

The lamp is made from crystal blown and cut at Saint-Louis-lès-Bitche in Moselle, France. Its Flanelle grey colour gives the piece a soft, understated appearance, while the fine Venetian ribs and delicate nic-nac cutting characteristic of Apollo create subtle texture and reflections.

The Apollo collection itself dates back to 1979, when it was developed from the classic Thistle motif. Its flowing lines and detailed engraving are inspired by the movement of water, giving the crystal a light and fluid appearance.

Designed as a small contemporary table lamp, this piece works well on a bedside table, console, desk or side table. It brings together Saint Louis crystal craftsmanship and modern lighting in a compact decorative form.
