Hermès H Deco Design
Designed by Benoît-Pierre Emery, Hermès H Deco draws inspiration from the Art Deco wrought-iron decoration of the Maison’s Parisian stores. At the center of the design is the distinctive double-H motif, inspired by the elevator and main door of the historic Hermès boutique at 24 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris. The two interlaced Hs also reference the union of Émile Hermès and Julie Hollande in 1900, giving the geometric design a direct connection to the Maison’s history.
The design is characterized by geometric lines, symmetry, repetition and intricate spiral elements arranged around the intertwined HH motif. The architectural pattern creates a strong graphic rhythm across the porcelain, translating the wrought-iron ornament of the Parisian boutiques into a refined tableware design. The collection is available in its black-and-white version.
The H Deco service comprises 33 pieces for lunch, dinner and tea and coffee, with the design extending across coordinated tableware and serving forms. Individual pieces can be collected over time or combined to create a complete Hermès table setting, while the consistent geometric decoration allows different forms to work together as part of the same visual composition.
Hermès uses screen-printed decoration applied by hand, and the collection is made in France, combining graphic precision with meticulous decorative craftsmanship.
