H Deco White Porcelain Mini Cups with Black Decoration
The Hermès H Deco Small Cup n°1 Set for 2 comprises two white porcelain mini cups designed for tea and coffee service. Their compact format makes them ideal for small servings, while the white porcelain provides a light and refined setting for the distinctive black H Deco decoration.
The cups feature an intricate black geometric pattern around the exterior, creating a graphic contrast against the white porcelain. At the centre of the design is the iconic double-H “Lift” motif, inspired by the Art Deco ironwork of Hermès’ Parisian stores.
The double-H motif recalls the elevator and main entrance door of the historic Hermès store at 24 Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris. The two interlaced Hs also echo the union of Émile Hermès and Julie Hollande in 1900.
Designed by Benoit Pierre Emery, the mini cups combine a delicate white porcelain format with the architectural character of H Deco. The decoration is screen-printed and applied by hand, and the pieces are made in France.
Care Instructions
The cups can occasionally be washed in the dishwasher, although Hermès recommends hand washing with a soft, non-abrasive sponge to help preserve the beauty and brilliance of the decoration. They are not microwave-safe due to the presence of precious materials.
