H Deco Porcelain Deep Serving Platter
The Hermès H Deco Round Deep Platter is a distinctive porcelain serving piece with a generous 29.5 cm format, designed for presenting food at the centre of the table. Its round, deep shape makes it particularly suited to serving dishes that benefit from a more substantial platter.
The black-and-white decoration features the H Deco collection’s signature double-H “Lift” motif at the centre, surrounded by intricate geometric and spiral elements. The design is inspired by the Art Deco ironwork of Hermès’ Parisian stores, bringing the architectural character of the Maison to the table.
The double-H motif recalls the elevator and main entrance door of the historic Hermès store at 24 Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris. The two interlaced Hs also reference the union of Émile Hermès and Julie Hollande in 1900.
Designed by Benoit Pierre Emery, the platter combines graphic geometric decoration with Hermès craftsmanship. The decoration is screen-printed and applied by hand, and the piece is made in France.
Care Instructions
The platter can occasionally be washed in the dishwasher, although Hermès recommends hand washing with a soft, non-abrasive sponge to preserve the beauty and brilliance of the decoration. It is not microwave-safe due to the presence of precious materials.
