The Venini Bolle bottle 503.01 has been classic designs from Venini since it was introduced in 1966. Today, the Bolle bottles can be admired in art museums around the world. Finnish designer Tapio Wirkkala conceived the original design, rediscovering the long-forgotten Incalmo technique while working with Venini. Incalmo, which means fusion in Italian, describes the process of fusing two glass elements of the same diameter but different colors while they are in a molten state. This technique can be repeated multiple times, allowing for the creation of glass objects with rings of various colors. A raised element is intentionally left at the base of each bottle, symbolizing the bounce of a water droplet and showcasing the skilled craftsmanship of Venetian glassblowers.
