In 1740, at the beginning of the Manufactory’s history, the Florentine painter Ferdinando Campostrini designed the iconic floral hatchings featuring Ji Ondori roosters—elegant creatures symbolizing boldness in Eastern culture. His delicate sketches were transformed into exquisite decorations for the iconic Vecchio Ginori line, giving birth to the Oro di Doccia gilded porcelain collection.
