The Boscoreale Cups are exact reproductions of those used by the Romans before Vesuvius erupted and buried Pompeii in A.D. 79. Mario and Gianmaria Buccellati were struck by the beauty of these objects. They reproduced them, using the same original silversmithing techniques.
