The Saint Louis Torsade Left Sconce is a contemporary luxury wall light that gives clear crystal a distinctly sculptural role in the interior. Designed by Stefania Di Petrillo, the sconce features twisted crystal arms arranged in U-shaped and looped forms, creating a flowing silhouette that stands out from more traditional wall lighting.
The twisted form is inspired by the traditional S-shaped technique used to create chandelier branches in the Saint Louis hot workshop. For the Torsade collection, this established method is reinterpreted through clear crystal arms that curve and overlap to create an open, three-dimensional structure. Lightly brushed, silver-coloured raw aluminium is used for the end caps and wall fittings, adding a contemporary contrast to the transparent crystal.
This designer crystal sconce works particularly well in a dining room, where its curved form can add detail to a plain wall, or in a hallway and entrance where decorative lighting can enhance the architecture. It is also well suited to bedrooms, especially when installed beside the bed and paired with the corresponding right-hand model.
