The designer Jan Padrnos (born 1967) started his career in the fields of mechanical engineering and architecture before focusing on product design. In 2000, he founded Blackbox s.r.o., an exclusive manufacturer for his designs ranging from furniture and glass giftware to interior projects.
His designs are showcased in a number of institutions including the Prague Museum of Art and Industry, the Moravian Gallery in Brno and the National Technical Museum in Prague.
