The Veronese vase is one of Venini’s masterpieces, designed in the 1920s by Vittorio Zecchin. Thanks to the Kintsugi technique, an ancient restoration method in gold to repair broken objects, usually ceramics, the collection has been enriched with new unique flashes of light. The break lines are not only left exposed, but are also highlighted by the gold dust, creating a new pattern and transforming the appearance of the object. The philosophy behind Kintsugi is very deep and extends far beyond that of a simple artistic practice: its symbolism speaks to us of healing and resilience, giving life to a unique and luxurious object. The technical part of Opalino from the manufacture of milk glass, an opaque white glass, invented in Murano in the mid-fifteenth century to imitate the first porcelain all the rage in Europe. It is obtained by superimposing “encasing” the milk glass with a glass or more thin transparent and d glass, getting beautiful objects with intense colors and bright. To embellish glass with soft colors are included on the entire surface of leaves of gold and silver objects getting gorgeous “Golden Armed.” - Venini
