A Refined Hermès Serving Platter Inspired by the Sea
The Hermès Natures Marines Large Deep Round Platter is crafted from fine porcelain and decorated with a delicate marine-inspired design, combining screen-printed and hand-applied details with a refined hand-painted gold trim.
Designed by artist Katie Scott, the Natures Marines collection evokes an underwater garden inspired by marine flora found along the shores of Wales and by the botanical illustrations of 19th-century English naturalists. Delicate branches, seaweed and coral-inspired forms follow the contours of the porcelain, while the gold detailing evokes the radiance of sunlight beneath the waves.
With its generous 36.5 cm diameter and deep, rounded form, this Hermès serving platter is ideal for the elegant presentation of salads, fruit, side dishes, desserts and other shared preparations. Its substantial proportions also allow it to serve as a sophisticated centerpiece for a refined dining table, making it equally suited to entertaining, special occasions and beautifully curated everyday dining.
The Natures Marines Large Deep Round Platter combines the artistic vision of Katie Scott with Hermès’ exceptional porcelain craftsmanship. Its distinctive marine decoration and hand-finished gold trim make it an elegant addition to a luxury tableware collection and a refined gift for collectors of Hermès homeware.
Care Instructions
This fine porcelain piece is decorated with gold that is painted and polished by hand and requires special care. Gilded surfaces are susceptible to scratches due to the delicacy of the gold. Small wear marks may naturally appear over time, and the gold may develop a natural patina.
Hand wash with a soft, non-abrasive sponge. If needed, use silver polish sparingly to soften signs of wear.
This piece is not microwave safe due to the presence of precious metals.
