Fabergé Libertine II Timepiece features a dial set with a central Gemfields cabochon emerald, surrounded by hand-carved Gemfields emeralds, set with white diamonds and mother-of-pearl, within a diamond set bezel and a manual-winding movement, encased in a 36mm 18 karat white gold case, with alligator strap. This piece features Zambian emeralds from Gemfields’ mines. The genesis for the pair of Libertine High Jewellery timepieces was the beautiful Zambian landscape responsible for forming the precious gemstones that adorn them. Fabergé and Agenhor were inspired by their trip to Gemfields emerald mine, Kagem; thus, Fabergé decided to use the unique possibilities of this collection’s architecture as a showcase for the raw, verdant power of emeralds.
