In 1986, Bernard Yot and Studio Christofle created the Talisman collection, inspired by Art Deco. This unique set celebrates vibrant colors and the individuality of its owners. Talisman is a custom-made, precious collection. The collection offers an endless array of colors, with curved silver-plated metal ribs highlighting the matte finish of the chosen color. The Talisman range includes tableware like forks, knives, and spoons, as well as serving utensils.

Christofle begins by stamping the chosen metal, leaving spaces for the lacquer. Next, the pieces are sanded to help the lacquer adhere. Two coats of lacquer are applied for color, followed by 16 coats of varnish, all done by hand. This process makes the Talisman collection durable and strong. The final step is an emery-coat top layer, enhancing the contrast between the lacquer and metal. Each piece is then hand polished for a brilliant shine. The Art Deco ribs amplify the chosen color’s richness. Using the ancient art of Cloisonné, which combines silver and lacquer, the shiny ribbed design highlights the matte finish. The collection brings a burst of color to the dining table, creating a magical dining experience!
