The Hermès Tressages Équestres collection draws on the equestrian heritage at the heart of the Maison, transforming the language of harness-making into an expressive contemporary tableware design. Created by artist Virginie Jamin, the collection is inspired by the intricate braiding, ropes, straps and passementerie traditionally associated with equestrian craftsmanship.
Original pen and gouache drawings are translated onto luminous French porcelain, creating a dynamic composition of figurative and abstract motifs. Petrol blue, lemon yellow and mint green accents give the collection a distinctive graphic character, while the interplay of lines and woven forms recalls the structure and movement of equestrian harnesses.
