About the Hermès Animaux Nattés Collection
Animaux Nattés creates a colorful world where nature and playful fantasy meet. Braided motifs, expressive forms and vivid blocks of color give the collection a distinctive graphic language, balancing a sense of spontaneity with the precision of fine porcelain.
The design draws on traditional artisan techniques, particularly the art of braiding. These woven references are reinterpreted as graphic lines and patterns across the porcelain, creating depth and movement while giving the collection its characteristic visual identity.
The designs are applied using hand-laid chromolithography printing, combining detailed illustration with the craftsmanship of French porcelain. The pieces are made in France, and Hermès states that the porcelain is dishwasher and microwave safe, making it suitable for everyday use as well as special occasions.
