Hermès A Walk in the Garden Design
Designed by Nigel Peake, Hermès A Walk in the Garden explores the space between the figurative and the abstract, transforming the idea of an English garden into a distinctive graphic composition for the table. Twigs, leaves and grasses appear to grow through grid, checkered and herringbone patterns, creating an imaginary garden in which botanical forms and geometric structures interact.
The collection is characterized by a joyfully colorful palette and varied illustrations that appear to have been drawn directly onto the porcelain. Rather than relying on a single repeated motif, Nigel Peake develops different arrangements of foliage, pathways and geometric structures across the collection, giving each piece its own composition while maintaining a coherent visual language.
A Walk in the Garden comprises 27 pieces for lunch, dinner and tea and coffee, combining traditional tableware forms with the collection’s distinctive botanical and geometric decoration.
