Odin Sculpture for Viking and Nordic Mythology Collections
The Lladró Odin Porcelain Sculpture portrays the powerful king of the gods in Norse mythology in an imposing work of artistic porcelain. Depicted as a formidable warrior ready to confront the forces of chaos, Odin embodies wisdom, knowledge, courage and authority. Crafted in matte white porcelain with metallic accents, this sculpture conveys mythological storytelling with sculptural details.
In Norse mythology, Odin rules over gods and men from his palace in Asgard. Associated with war, wisdom and knowledge, he guides fallen warriors to Valhalla, where they are honoured for their bravery and prepared for Ragnarök, the final battle. This Lladró porcelain creation captures his commanding presence through a carefully modelled figure equipped with an elaborate collection of weapons and armour.
Sculpted by José Santaeulalia, the piece shows detailed anatomy, expressive features and elaborate ornamentation. Odin’s face is particularly distinctive, with a scar over his left eye recalling the mythological sacrifice he made at Mimir’s Well in exchange for profound wisdom. His imposing horned helmet, battle axe and shield engraved with four dragons are decorated with ochre, gold and silver metallic lustres, creating a rich contrast against the matte white porcelain.
This large-scale Lladró mythological sculpture makes a dramatic focal point in a living room or dedicated collector’s display. Launched in 2025, the Lladró Odin Porcelain Sculpture is an exceptional addition to a collection of designer sculptures or a memorable gift for an enthusiast of Norse legends and fine art.
