Baccarat had already introduced lacquered wooden trays during the 1930s, and this modern interpretation continues that decorative heritage.
The handcrafted octagonal tray features a brilliant lacquered surface, designed to capture light and enhance the presence of Baccarat crystal creations and luxury tableware. Each tray undergoes an exceptionally detailed production process involving at least 15 layers of lacquer, with multiple days of air drying and quality control between each application to achieve its luminous finish and exceptional depth. The sophisticated two-tone blue lacquer version requires an even more complex process, as the primary lacquer color is first applied before the contrasting edge finish is carefully added.
