H Deco Porcelain Soy Dish Set
The Hermès H Deco Soy Dish Set of 2 comprises two small porcelain dishes designed for serving soy sauce, condiments and other small accompaniments. Their compact format makes them a refined addition to the table, particularly for individual portions and elegant dining arrangements.
The black-and-white decoration brings the graphic character of the H Deco collection to this small-format tableware piece. At the centre, the iconic double-H “Lift” motif is surrounded by intricate geometric decoration inspired by the Art Deco ironwork of Hermès’ Parisian stores.
The double-H motif recalls the elevator and main entrance door of the historic Hermès store at 24 Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris. The two interlaced Hs also echo the union of Émile Hermès and Julie Hollande in 1900.
Designed by Benoit Pierre Emery, the soy dishes combine a practical format with the distinctive visual identity of H Deco. The decoration is screen-printed and applied by hand, and the pieces are made in France.
Care Instructions
The dishes can occasionally be washed in the dishwasher, although Hermès recommends hand washing with a soft, non-abrasive sponge to help preserve the beauty and brilliance of the decoration. They are not microwave-safe due to the presence of precious materials.
