A Porcelain Soup Plate with the Iconic Double-H Motif
The Hermès H Deco soup plate is a porcelain piece designed for serving soups and other dishes while bringing the distinctive graphic character of the H Deco collection to the table. Its elegant shape and balanced design make it suitable for both everyday dining and more sophisticated table settings.
The plate features Hermès’ signature double-H “Lift” motif at the centre, surrounded by a geometric decoration inspired by the Art Deco ironwork of the Maison’s Parisian stores. The motif references the elevator and main entrance door of the historic Hermès store at 24 Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris.
Designed by Benoit Pierre Emery, the H Deco soup plate combines geometric lines and symmetry with the heritage of Hermès. The decoration is screen-printed and applied by hand, and the piece is made in France.
The H Deco soup plate can be paired with other pieces from the collection to create a refined and coordinated table setting.
Care Instructions
Although the Hermès H Deco soup plate can occasionally be washed in the dishwasher, Hermès recommends hand washing with a soft, non-abrasive sponge to help preserve the decoration. Not microwave-safe due to precious materials.
