Versace Prestige Gala

Bring an ornate note to the table with stunning 24K gold-detailed dinnerware Prestige Gala by Rosenthal Meets Versace.

Inspired by the iconic patterns of the silk collection “Le Vase Baroque” of the Versace design fashion Maison, the collection is the triumph of lavish gold and platinum embellishments and motifs in shades of black and grey, brilliant blue and turquoise, and lilac, which bring to the table-top an extraordinary elegance nearly bordering eccentricity which is typical of the Versace style. There is a second variation in bright turquoise colour.

The Prestige Gala Dinnerware Collection continues in the iconic tradition of dinnerware sets and table accessories. The rococo/baroque design that is so emblematic of this series is underpinned by greys and black, to provide a striking contrast to the gold base. Although a dinnerware collection, the pieces all stand by themselves as adornments to any room, even the bedroom. Main protagonist of the collection is the eye catching centre piece, the great golden Vase enriched by the golden acanthus leaves and delicate ornaments and by two majestic lions scrambling up the vase walls. Some of the articles experience the return of the sumptuous Medusa head emblem.

Gianni Versace chose this Greek mythological figure as his luxurious logo because she made people fall in love with her and they had no way back.
He hoped his Maison would have the same seductive effect on people.
Versace encompasses a whole style of life, and this new decòr, launched in 2015, goes in this direction transferring to the fine German Rosenthal porcelain the baroque taste of the patterns promoted by the fashion design Maison.
The dinnerware features the perfect combination of delicate golden and platinum decorations and motifs in shades of black and grey, brilliant blue and turquoise, and lilac.
The name picks up that of the homonym glassware collection, crafted to further enrich the Medusa Gala collection.

With this décor the colours are melted into the glaze at 1000 degrees C. Here the glaze softens and the décor sinks into it, thus making colour and luminosity indestructible. It is scratch and wear-resistant.
However, gold decors are not totally scratch resistant by virtue of their natural material properties. This décor was tested by the Rosenthal Institute for material technology (IWT). It is dishwasher safe.
