Hermes Tiger Vase brings with it various symbols and meanings. Tiger symbolism is most commonly associated with strength and courage, as well as determination and independence.  As a spirit animal, the meaning for the tiger is said to be willpower, courage, and personal strength. … Some recognize tigers and dragons as powerful symbols representing the balanced forces of yin and yang. The Chinese god of wealth, Tsai Shen Yeh, is often shown sitting on top of a tiger to emphasize his power.

To discover the Carnets d’Equateur tableware is to return to the first morning on Earth and to call the name of each of the wild creatures depicted with fierce intensity by Robert Dallet. There are the well-known – the jaguar, lion, tiger, elephant and toucan – alongside the rare – the mazama, capuchin monkey and woolly monkey. Life is at once teeming and peaceful, the essence of an earthly paradise. There we find also this magnificiant Hermes tiger vase.

The depth of the porcelain set conveys a profound empathy for the harmonious and fabulous animal kingdom with a desire to capture and preserve its soul on a refined table top.
A return to an earthly paradise made possible by the sketches of the wildlife artist and naturalist Robert Dallet who started his longstanding collaboration with the French brand back in 1985. Traveling across the globe he was able to study the animal kingdom and approach the animal illustration with scientific precision expressing his markedly boundless admiration for the beauty of the big cats which according to the artist were Nature’s greatest success.
“Nature is so beautiful that adding to it serves no purpose” – Robert Dallet (1923-2006)
